Fall Protection – 8 Hrs

This 8 hour fall protection course is intended for any person that will be required to work at a height or where fall protection is necessary as per OHS Regulations. This course combines both theory and practical training using current, approved fall protection equipment. The training includes instruction, demonstration hands-on and written exercises. Participants will use fall protection equipment, setup and work off of lifeline systems, and perform self rescue from vertical lifelines.

Confined Space Entry + Standby Attendant – 8 hrs

This 1 Day course is intended for Confined Space Entrants and Stand-by Attendants who may be required to: Enter confined spaces, Work in confined spaces, Perform Stand-by attendant duties, Gas test confined spaces, Ventilate confined spaces, and Perform non-entry retrieval rescues. A significant part of this course involves several hands-on exercises, including standby attendant duties, entry into confined spaces, gas testing, ventilation, lockout and retrieval rescue.

Confined Space Entry + Standby Attendant + Basic Rescue – 12 hrs

This 1 1/2 Day course is intended for Confined Space Entrants, Attendants and Rescue Personnel who may be required to: Enter confined spaces, Work in confined spaces, Perform Stand-by attendant duties, Gas test confined spaces, Ventilate confined spaces and Perform job specific basic rescues. A significant part of this course involves several hands-on exercises, including standby attendant duties, entry into confined spaces, gas testing, ventilation, lockout, retrieval rescue, non-spinal patient packaging and job specific basic rescues.

Confined Space Entry & Rescue – 24hrs

This 3 Day, Confined Space Entry + Rescue course is intended for individuals required to act as part of a confined space rescue team where entry would be required to rescue an injured worker. It will include competencies from NFPA while at the same time meeting WorkSafeBC requirements including ropes, hardware, knots, belaying, repelling, lowering, hauling, patient packaging, rescue pre-plans, gas monitoring and ventilation. A significant part of this course involves several hands-on entries into and rescues from confined spaces.

Confined Space Entry + Idhl Rescue – 32 hrs

This 4 Day Confined Space Entry + IDLH Rescue course is intended for individuals required to act as part of a confined space rescue team where entry into IDLH environments would be required to rescue an injured worker. It will include competencies from NFPA while at the same time meeting WorkSafeBC requirements including patient packaging, SCBA and SAR use, chemical protection, decon, rescue pre-plans, gas monitoring and ventilation. A significant part of this course involves several hands-on entries into and rescues from confined spaces while on supplied air.

Asbestos Awareness – 4 hrs

This course is intended for any personnel that will be working in areas that may contain asbestos. This course gives the participant the information required to understand what is involved in hazard identification associated with asbestos, and how to help prevent exposure. The outcome will leave the student with an understanding of the hazards associated to common asbestos environments & common practices that should be employed when there is a potential for asbestos exposure. This course is one component of an asbestos control plan.

Fire Safety – 4 hrs

Having fire extinguishers strategically placed in your establishment is not a complete answer to fire safety. Your organization should have an internal system established to prevent and respond to manmade and natural emergencies.Our Fire Safety program provides participants with the knowledge necessary to prevent fires in the workplace and also focuses on the basic elements of fire prevention and protection.

Gas Detection – Equipment + Atmospheric Testing – 4 hrs

This 4 hrs gas detection course is intended for any personnel that will be entering, working in, providing stand-by for or monitoring confined spaces. This course gives the participant the information required to understand units of measure, sensor technology, sensor response and calibration, principals of gasses and principals of atmospheric testing. The outcome will leave the student with a clear understanding of how to accurately detect hazardous gasses using a portable gas detector, how to read and understand what the detector is indicating, and how to respond to the reading in order to maintain worker safety.

Ground Disturbance BC – 8 hrs

This 1 day course is intended for any personnel that will be developing, planning or implementing any kind of ground disturbance. It will discuss what ground disturbance is, ground disturbance activities, hazards and control methods. It will also discuss how to locate underground facilities and what to do in the event of accidental contact. The outcome will leave the student with an understanding of the hazards and control methods necessary when disturbing the ground.

Ladder Safety – 2 hrs

This course is intended for anyone who is required to work on or use ladders. Anyone who uses a ladder must comply and obtain the necessary training in order to reduce or eliminate worker injuries and avoid worker compensation premiums. This course combines both theory and practical training using current, approved equipment and covers proper selection, inspection, setup and use of several types of ladders.

Lockout / Tagout Awareness – 4 hrs

This course is intended for any personnel that will be working with or around equipment where lockout or isolation is required. This course gives the participant the information required to understand what is involved in locking out hazardous energy sources, and when it is required. The outcome will leave the student with an understanding of the hazards associated with uncontrolled energy and methods to ensure worker safety. This course is the 1st in its series and is a suitable pre-requisite for entry and rescue training courses.

SAR/SCBA Operations – 4hrs

This 1/2 day course is intended for anyone who is required to wear a SAR or SCBA. Anyone who uses a SAR or SCBA must obtain the necessary training in order to ensure safe use of the equipment. This course combines both theory and practical training using current, approved equipment and covers proper selection, inspection, donning, doffing of SAR’s and SCBA’s. This course will also cover cylinder changing, breathing air compressor inspection, setup and use. Participants will be fit tested on Draeger and MSA full Face Respirators within this course.
